I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Steve Carell was great, as expected, but Anne Hathaway exceeded my expectations. She really hit the mark with the nods to the way Barbara Feldon said certain phrases. Great cameos and some truly funny scenes.

Loved the remake and think the cast did a fantastic job of capturing the original series.

Very funny, I really enjoyed it. Especially the airplane scenes...kind or reminded me of the old Peter Sellers Pink Panther stuff. Steve Carell was great, as always!

...BIG fan of Steve Carell movies, and I like Ann Hathaway, too. I think they did well in the parts that were given to them, but it could've been written better. It seems that this whole movie could've been done better. I think that this movie was too much for the director. Not smart, cynical, or edgey enough. I would love to see this done by a different director.

I laughed quite a bit, and between laughs was entertained by the fun action. I like that Carrell didn't try to hard to to be just like Don Adams, but made it his own. I find most of the movie remakes of tv shows to be tedious and to "try to hard" but this seemed effortless to me, and fun. I also enjoyed the rock as secondary character..he did a pretty good job-I didn't have high hopes of him pulling it off-but I think he did well. I plan on adding this one to my collection

Disappointing for anyone who grew up watching the TV series, directed by Mel Brooks. Perhaps the reason is that the original show set the bar to such a high level that any sequel would fail to impress. The jokes simply aren´t there and Segal wasn´t able to recreate, at the preeent time, a purpose for Control vx. Kaos, as the cold war is long gone. Now I realize even more how spectacular the duo Don Adams and Barbara Feldman was.

With fond memories of the original "Get Smart" we couldn't wait to see this one. We disgustedly turned it off after about twenty minutes. We love the actors, but what a piece of junk!

Awful remake. Max is no longer the assured bumbling idiot the world fell in love with. Instead, he''s former fat nerdy analyst trying to prove himself. Carell's delivery of the famous lines falls flat. Alan Arkin is wasted. Hathaway is cetainly no Barbara Feldon. While Feldon's 99 fawned over Max, Hathaway treats him like dirt. There is no plot, no chemistry, and about one joke per hour that delivers more than a chuckle (and they're not where they should be). There's also a huge body count and mega-violence. Series' creators Mel Brooks and Buck Henry were creative consultants, but obviously largely ignored in the production. Max is smart when it's G-rated humor. Like too many movies these days, the producers try to get their laughs (and fail miserably) from potty mouths and sexual innuendo, something never seen in the original series, then try to recover the whole thing with pyrotechnics. Buy or rent the original series on DVD instead.
