Steve Carrell is a mediocre comedian and the writing was pretty uninspired. Although a few moments were amusing, most of the movie fell flat. The only bright spot was Anne Hathaway who was attractive and engaging. I think she has a promising future in acting.

I have never written a review before, but this movie motivated me to help others avoid it. It just never made up its mind and was never interesting in the least bit. I had my suspicions because it flopped at the theater, but I wanted to laugh and read some of the reviews here since they are usually reliable. Not this time. TO sum it up, all the funny parts are on the trailer. Enough said.

I would skip this one unless you have kids from the ages of 8 to 12. I watched it with my 15 and 17 year-old boys and they weren't that impressed with the movie either.
