I got this movie because the original Get Smart was hilarious. I thought it would be good family fun. There was plenty of talent, but too much sexual situations and incinuations to either enjoy, or be family worthy. They spoiled it. What a let down!

I love Steve Carrell, he's so funny, but this movie was not. I remember the Get Smart t.v. series, and the movie tried too hard to imitate it without success. They had a great cast in Anne Hathaway and Alan Arkin, but their talents were wasted. The script was weak, the technology silly.

My wife has a thing for comedies, and I utterly despise them because of the fact that there so hit and miss, and most nowadays are filled with cheesy, fall-down comedy, with very weak plots (i.e., tropic thunder, pineapple express, nick and nora). I was pleasantly humored at this retake of the old-school "secret agent" movie. Steve Carell brings this movie to a level which had me grinning the whole time, and bursting aloud at others. Take this with a grain of salt from a guy who thinks the funniest movie of all time is Nacho Libre... nachooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

It was just ok. It was not as funny as the original Get Smart so the competition was a no contest. I am sure kids today would like ti better having not seen the original.

I love Steve Carell, he is very funny without the profanity. However, this movie totally ruins his reputation. The other actors are not comedians! So what you end up is bad comedy, lots of corney, lame jokes that ruin the movie. Steve cannot run the movie on his own, so GET A CLUE. If you want this movie to be funny you need at least 2 leading comedians and not 4 want-a-bees. I wanted my money back!

What was funny? More laughs in 10 minutes of the original TV show than this whole movie.
