I got this movie because it seems like it has a bit of a classic cult status and I was curious. I found it to be kind of funny at times but for the most part it seemed pointless and bland. I didn't care about the characters. The dialog was flat. Scenes were filled with dead air and timing was slow. I was generally bored. Perhaps this movie has not stood the test of time and was better back in the day. But can't recommend this movie as something entertaining. Rent it if you're curious. Maybe you'll like it. I was just bored.

Wonderful, bittersweet comedy marking the end of the '60s. I guess if you're expecting something else--a wild sex romp maybe--you might find it boring. But it's close to Renoir's "The Rules of the Game" in its melancholy and humor and its microscopic satirical view of a particular culture at a particular time and place. And in the surprising depth of the characters.

Mac Daddy attack! Warren Beatty turns in a flawless performan as George, the Beverly Hills hairdresser who gets his comeuppance after bedding every "chick" tp ever walk into his salon. What a sad, wasted, and ultimately lonely character he is, reminding us of how narcissistic the 60's really were. Goldie Hawn is a breath of fresh air as Jill, but she unfortunately can't save this film from an underlying spirit of moroseness. I don't get how this could be called a comedy.
