Read More I had high hopes that this would be a classy , atmospheric horror tale in the vein of "Session Nine" . You know where the movie feels more like a drama than a cheesy horror movie and it would also have an effective, oppressively creepy atmosphere of paranoia and psychosis with good, yet subtle effects. Nope. It starts off OK and the cast is generally decent, giving it a feel of a decent drama. However the entire story gets way too preachy like a secular, environmentalist sermon similar to something like "The Last Man on Earth" religious movies. Its like a sermon dressed in a drama, hitting one note with an embarassingly cheesy mishmash of Gaia-Wendigo-Indian folklore type references where nature comes out to get back at the evil people drilling for oil. In addition many of the horror effects are laughably low budget and ineffective. It could have been a small gem of a horror movie but it was ultimately spoiled by the cheesiness of the director-writer. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

What a train wreck. Here's the bottom line....when a movie bypasses the theater and goes straight to dvd and you've never heard of this movie before, 9 out of 10 times that movie, like this one is going to SUCK AND SUCK BAD!!!!. When will I and a lot of other people ever learn?. Probably never. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This is one BAD BAD BAD BAD film. Slow, boring, not anything remotely close to scary, horrible ending, complete lack of character depth, hokey cgi that showed some "creatures" for a total of maybe 5 minutes at the MAX, 100 minutes worth of political nonsense, .... you get the point.
Stay far, far, FAR away from this one. If it were a novel, no one would ever read this past the first chapter. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This was about the worst movie I've seen in a LONG time. Absolutely no real plot development, contains "beyond obvious" environmental agenda, special effects were done on a Commodore PET, script was ridiculously over the top and Ron Perlman's acting was so bad and overly dramatic that it appeared he must have been making a satire of a bad dramatic movie role.
"The Scariest Movie of the Year" quote must have been the review by Helen Keller. This movie was the most BORING movie of the year and seriously folks, there wasn't even one remotely scary part to the film. The box cover is simply the best looking part of the film there was.
