David Mamet's play Sexual Perversity in Chicago was adapted for the big screen by fellow Chicago citizen Tim Kazurinsky and became About Last Night... The film stars Rob Lowe as Danny and Demi Moore as Debbie. The pair meet and engage in a torrid sexual relationship, but then slowly negotiate if there is anything more between them. Lowe seeks advice from his loudmouthed friend Bernie (Chicago native James Belushi), whose offers little more than outrageous tales of his randy exploits. Debbie confides in her best friend Joan (Elizabeth Perkins), a bitter, single kindergarten teacher who has lost any hope of finding the right person on the dating scene. Although Danny and Debbie talk, they have trouble communicating. The film ends on a coda that suggests the pair are still unsure as to where their relationship may be headed. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

Very funny - The Belushi and Lowe character contrasts keep the humor flowing. The threads about 80's relationships are worth renting the movie, especially if one lived those times. Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Elizabeth Perkins and James Belushi are hilarious! Would have been better if Blockbuster would have sent the widescreen as listed instead of the 4:3 TV version, but that's Blockbuster.

If you survived the 80's and are a girl you will love this movie. The cliches are perfect, many I've said myself. The sex is hot and steamy! And if you liked the 80's music, this movie is for you!! Rob Lowe and Demi Moore at their cutest, Elizabeth Perkins at her wittiest, and James Belushi.., "at this point, I don't know"

I loved this movie when it first came out in the 80's. I was the same age as the characters and could relate, plus Rob Lowe was the lastest HOTTEST thing. I got this movie to share with my 16year old and her friends-mostly b/c of dating/break-up. Little did I remember all the cussing and nudity in this movie. Okay for 20 something, not okay for 16 year olds in my opinion. I skipped through the nake parts with them, but could not hold their ears for all the bad words. So, great movie for 18 and up. Had to laugh at all the big sweaters and ugly shoes and pants, but still a good story/love story even today. Acting wasn't bad either. I know both Demi and Rob were new actors at the time. And it was Elizabeth Perkins first movie.

This in my opinion is one of the greatest romantic comedies of all time. Surrounding the bar scene back in the day, it depicted absolute truth on how men and women really due act among the sexes. I really love the fact that the cast was so real and true, one other thing it also helped that the scene is set in Chicago, Il which I am from. I wanted to buy the dvd by clicking keep it, but that opion wasn't available. kb

So this is a typical 80s chick flick...but, having said that, it's also really funny. The exchanges between Belushi and Lowe will keep you laughing. Women and men will also feel a kinship to the main relationship on the screen, to the comfort levels involved with different levels of intimacy, of relationships, from dating to moving in together. Funny, sappy, and sexy!!!
