I liked this more up to date version of the movie...Russell Crowe did a great job...I loved this movie in the early 50's and I love it even more 55 years later...Great Western....Good Job.... WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreI liked this movie even though I needed to suspend disbelief several times to enjoy it. The action, scenery and characters were what I expected for a Western. Crowe does a fine job and manages to make a really bad person seem likable.
The lowest point was the return for an all-night ride on horseback of the man shot in the gut, bleeding for hours, dragged on a stretcher bumping on the ground, and having just had a bullet removed without anesthetic by a vet!
