Read More This movie had a great cast with great acting (so many good actors in this), just the story was to slow for me. I did like the ending with the final stand off. Christian Bale did a great job acting showing the protrayal of man and how good they can be even if all odds are against them. And Russell Crowe did a great job as the Desperado and how his character grew as the movie went on. It is a good one time watch and I recommend it as that. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Christian Bale's character, Dan, was a good man trying to make an honest ... Read More I really liked this movie. It had a great cast and a very good story. I believe this was a story of courage and conviction. Christian Bale's character, Dan, was a good man trying to make an honest living, with his banker conniving to take the land. He had to take the job of escorting a an infamous criminal to save his ranch. During the trip he and Ben Wade get to know each other, and Ben develops a liking tor Dan because of his beliefs and actions. When all the other guards for Ben are killed or back out, Dan stayed, and he didn't stary for the money, but for beliefs. Although some of the other comments said the ending was unbelievable, I thnk Ben saw Dan as very similar to him. It was hard to get past the unrealistic actions of so many of the characters. These people lived in the "wild west" and acted as if they were in a 21st century action film. Get the bad guy to jail no matter how many men he kills along the way. In reality they would have shot him in the back and said he was trying to escape. Oops! But no matter wether your an avid western fan or enjoy then like I do this is a must see. It has all the cast of characters such as the hero and the villain, but yet it captures you from the beginning and keeps there with them. This wont disappoint. Overall a great movie.

Read More Iwould not put it up there with Unforgiven, as the previews and commercials indicate, but this is good movie. It's got a really good pace pretty much from beginning to end. You're learning about the characters throughout the whole thing, in bits and pieces.
This movie has a strong story and plot, good actors and characters, and some interesting sub-themes. It was pretty realistic in most ways. This is a good movie, one that should leave you smiling when it ends. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||
