Gary Cooper plays the humble Elvin York to perfection. This is a very heart warming movie for ALL of the family (both male and female will enjoy).

I enjoyed Sergeant York because it is a great story of Faith. Others should see it because it is true and touching. This movie is perfect for all the family. Even though it is an old movie I love it!

If you want a family friendly movie that will inspire you and encourage old-fashioned values, this is it. It is an easy to understand story line that most kids would follow, but it holds lots of interest for adults, too. Lots of fodder for family discussions afterwards. The war scenes can be graphic, but they were realistic and not gory. York has a spiritual awakening that changes his life and gives him a new way of dealing with the world. He is portrayed as a very real character, not a rosy hero with no flaws. I highly recommend this film for everyone.

Great (and true) story about a real American hero. Also communicates a religious theme that is tasteful and believable. Recommend to families.

This is a good family movie, very patriot, very American, shows how people lived in rural areas at the beginning of the 1900's.....

This has got to be one of my favorite movies. I have propably seen this movie 8 or 9 times. I am from TN not all that far from where York lived. Funny to watch a movie about a local hero.
