This was a pretty average horror movie. We did find it entertaining and the acting was good , just not great. I would rent it but I wouldn't buy it.

This movie was just stupid. It is like a high tech The Ring! The characters are so phoney and the story line is just plain stupid. Some of the acting was ok but all in all it was just not worth the time spent watching it. I give it 1 star as that is the lowest score available. Do yourself a favor and rent another one.

This movie was just never scary. It borrows used ideas from so many other movies and does nothing to spice them up and make them its own. Haunted electronics were old by the time The Ring was released. Why Edwards Burns did this movie is beyond me. After credits like Saving Private Ryan and The Brothers McMullen, this movie made me just feel bad for him. And lets face it, if Shannon Sossamyn is your star?! Seriously, how good can it be? 40 Days & 40 Nights was about the height of her career

Give Saturn Award winning Mike Elizalde credit for creating some laughable horror makeup. This film plays like a horror film students' text book of standard practice for scary movie devices. They've got EVERY conceivable gimmick: serial murders, cursed phone calls, knife through peep hole, disturbed catatonic child, psycho nanny, crazy mother, evil sister, handsome dumb detective, vulnerable-next-on-killer's-list heroine, crawling bugs for no reason, an exorcism, knives, fire, hand-coming-out-of-the-water, thumps, thunder, rain... At least I got a few laughs from the scary, smiling, goulish faces makeup that actually looked funny like a horror parody movie.

Worth your time if you like spookies. A bit slow but a good story. Worth your time.

How could anyone give this movie more than one star. OK, so they used good equipment and good film. Other than that, it is one of the worst films---horror or otherwise---I have seen in the last few years. Ed Burns must have really needed the money. So what's wrong with it? Let's try plot, rhythm, logic (yes, even in horror movies there must be some kind of logic), and all the other qualities that go into stories. Little of it makes sense from the opening scenes to the last call. The editing does nothing to help us understand why the calls are coming and why we should be scared. You're left asking yourselves two 'why's': wjy the calls are coming, and, more importantly, why you watched this trash in the first place.
