This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I would totally recommend this movie to any and everybody. Georgia Rule has the perfect amount of drama and comedy. It also has a very realistic plot that many people and or parents can relate to. Lindsay Lohan gives an outstanding performance as a rebellious teen with a disturbing secret. Jane Fonda's character is a mother/grandmother who tries her best to keep her famiily from falling apart. Felicity Huffman's character is a mother who is caught between the bounds of being a good mother and living the lavished life, and also a rocky relationship with her mother because she hasn't gotten the answers she needs. This movie is great and I HIGHLY recommend it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Yes, it did get a bad rap because of Lindsay Lohan's antics at the time, but this really is a great film. Lohan does a phenomenal job and my only complaint is that there were too few scenes with Jane Fonda. This definitely isn't a light hearted chick flick and is a lot deeper than you would have thought it would be. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

There are a few comical moments - but very few. This is a dramatic film that takes on a very serious subject matter and deals with it fairly well in it's two hours. Three generations of women (Fonda as the grandmother, Huffman as the mother) who despite their differences must find their way to one another to form a untied front and support for the youngest daughter played beautifully by Lohan. Good performances by all & I'm always happy to watch anything with Dermott Mulroney in it who gets better and better looking with age. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More It's hard to believe that someone would direct, produce and then watch this film, declare it good, and send it on to be distributed. The acting of poor Rachel is horrible. The other two are good actresses, but the material is just so bad. After about 20 minutes, I didn't think I could handle it anymore. For lack of anything on TV, I left it on. Then, the storyline got bad. so, it went from bad to worse. More than likely, the great reviews are coming from teens and fans of Lindsey Lohan. Most people with an affinity for decent moviemaking would not choose this poorly made movie with the unlikely and definitely not entertaining plot. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? The characters seem to get worse and worse as the movie goes on starting with Lohan's character. The movie is confused in trying to make a comedy about a very serious thing. What you end up with are a couple of gags about Mormons and small town folk, and three of the most unlikable and unrealistic characters ever put on screen. So bad and forced are the attempts at comedy and sentimental bonding moments, I was actually rooting for the molester. Huffman is horrible period, but this bad movie is a real waste of Fonda's and Lohan's talents. Their characters are one dimensional paper cutouts with no more depth or realism than the poorly contrived attempts at comedy and drama Marshall spoons down your throat.
