Read More This wasn't meant to be a great 80's movie (it was made in 2006), it's just a simple spoof movie. I think anyone with an appreciation to all the 80's classic would laugh at it. Yes there were a couple of slow points, but overall... anyone that grew up watching the best of the best and the worst of the worst in the 80's would enjoy TOTALLY AWESOME. The nude scene in the beginning is spoofing all the guy teen movies in the 80's, if you remember most of them, the guys were always trying to catch of glimpse of naked woman (building a woman, looking at magazines, looking through windows, etc.) .. so it really wasn't pointless. And the mediocre to really bad actors that ... Read More I really appreciate what this spoof was trying to do, but it fell so flat in so many ways. It tries really hard to be funny, to the point of obnoxious. And the mediocre to really bad actors that made up the majority really weren't doing anybody any favors either. The only redeeming qualities were the few scenes with Tracy Morgan and he's only in it for about 15 minutes, so you know, choose wisely. Actually just don't choose this at all. It tried really hard to make you laugh and usually came up short. If you are really bored and have nothing else to do, it's not the biggest waste of an hour and a half, but don't expect it to be as funny as "Scary Movie" or "Not Another Teen Movie" It has it's moments, but you can count them on one hand. But i warn you, the dancing is much dirtier. Chris kattan makes a comical performance that makes fun of Dirty Dancing. he has a crush on a 16 year old girl. Also, there is a man called "Mr. Yamagashi" who is a homo, and he "teaches" Charlie Gunderson how to do decathalon, so he can beat his rivalry, Chip Vangercave. Also, Charlie has a crush on Brittany Daniels, who is Chip's girlfriend, but Charlie's sweaty-faced best friend has a crush on Charlie. Will Charlie beat Chip in the Decathalon? Will Chris Kattan get to go out with 16 year old Lori and be able to dance dirty? Which woman will Charlie choose, Brittany Daniels or his sweaty faced best friend? Read More I thought with Chris Kattan, this movie would be slapstick and funny, however I had trouble identifying some of the movies they were making fun of, such as Farris Buellerâs Day Off, etc. The constant screaming of the main chick was annoying, and overall the story did not flow as well as the Scary Movie series.
