A commentary of the hierarchal struggles of the business world disguised as a romantic comedy? It's a fast pace, hilarious adventure as one guy improvises his books smarts to get to the top of the company. Slater's character was not convincing as a bookworm hottie who falls in love at first sight (really?) with our hero. But Whitton's supersexy "aunt" Vera totally invigorates the film when Fox slows down a bit. The supporting characters are no slouches neither, including Mercedes Ruehl's eccentric waitress.
