Read MoreI like good horror movies, even the really gory ones when they're well-made and suspenseful. The original re-make of "The Hills Have Eyes" was pretty good and kept me interested. Maybe it's the fact that I'm seeing too many retreads of the same old, same old with horror movies nowadays, (Saw 1, 2, 3, Captivity, Hostel 1 and 2, Touristas, etc.) I don't know, but this one has turned me off from them altogether. It was terrible from first frame to last. Pure trash in every sense of the word. Not a single genuine scare in the entire film, the usual over-the-top gore, the obligatory, totally unneeded rape scene, intensely stupid characters, painfully bad dialogue, hackneyed editing, poorly lit shots throughout, and overall just a bad time at the movies. My love for horror movies is still intact, but if a movie looks to be anything like this, I'm going to have to hear a lot of good reviews before I go see it.
