In all honesty this was a pretty good movie. Aside from some poor acting and dialouge the movie moved along quite well and actually made me jump a few times which says alot. As the title to my review says though, maybe I've lowered my standards over time or maybe it's because I have seen some pretty bad horror movies over the years. I commend the makers of this remake series for blowing the originals out of the water. However, no one can replace Pluto from the original series. The door has been left open for aditional sequels. We'll see how the public responds to this recent release and if the producers decide to grace us with a part 3. I'd welcome it. It's so hard too find good horror or oven gore movies this day.

Not NEARLY as good as the first one, and also not as good as the remake. Wes Craven REALLY drew you into the story in the original Hills Have Eyes. The remake of the original had a massive budget compared to the original, so the scenery was layed out nice and the special effects were much more high end. Regardless, I'd rather watch the original than the remake. The original was a masterpiece, the remake was a glitzed up copy with not quite as good of a story. Moving on to Hills Have Eyes 2 .... while not a boring stinker, it does not have a storyline developed nearly as well as the aforementioned films. It's got a few jumps in it and a few intended laughs. However, I'd be more drawn to watching the original again then any of the sequels.

I've seen almost every horror movie ever made and this one was worth watching. I don't expect Oscar nominations from any horror movie. I would watch it again. I do believe the remake of the first one was better but this one was not bad. Oh and I'm not a teenager and I liked it.
