Read More I enjoyed the movie, it's plot and all but I hate that they have to use the "F" word just to use it. It is not necessary; the movie would have been good enough to share with my family but I don't care for the use of profanity so freely. That goes for MOST of the movies. Read More This movie shows the point of view of Marianne Pearl and the people who were working to find Danny Pearl. The Danny Pearl scenes take place before the kidnapping and in flashbacks. The actors do a superb job of carrying the concern of the family as well as the urgency in finding the kidnappers. This movie centers around the support and effort that everyone from around the world expressed when a Journalist family was separated in early 2002 in Pakistan. Read More The story itself is interesting and this movie does a pretty good job telling it. Angelina's performance was not the best and yes, the accent was annoying--as well as the constant driving, traffic sounds and home movie feel. I loved the story and was interested throughout the movie--only because I wanted to learn about the events; however, my husband fell asleep and has no desire to ever watch it again. It's not for all and not suspenseful...just the truth, Daniel Pearl's story and an accurate portrayal of international journalists and their lifestyle when trying to report such events. The title sums it up. I ended up looking up this woman just to learn more. This is not your typical uplifting drama but in a sense it gives the viewer courage and strength to fight through the hard days. A MUST SEE for anyone who understand loss!!
