I loved this movie. Full of funny, quotable scenes.
If you have not seen this movie add it to your queue or go immediately to your local video/DVD emporium and rent it. It is truly classic.

Of course this is assuming you have an offbeat sense of humor. It's in the same comedic vein as Napoleon Dynamite, but where ND leaves you wondering sometimes about WHY you're laughing, Hot Rod is more obvious in going for the yuks. However there are still plenty of little background moments that are hilarious. Plus it co-stars redheaded hottie, Isla Fisher. Total bonus as I had no idea she was in it. But I guarantee if you you're a fan of movies that make fun of 80's stuff, you will find some funny parts. There were some parts I found halirious, and it wasn't just the "Jack Ass" style wipeouts. Samberg is halirious and he can be the next Will Ferell. The movie follows the same plot path as other stupid underachiever movies like "The Benchwarmers." The gang of losers, who don't realize they're loser, of course, has to raise money for an operation to save Rod's dad. Rod's plan is to jump over 15 school buses. I don't know where the "Napoleon" comparisons are coming from. This is more along the lines of "Dodgeball," "Teledega Nights," "Benchwarmers," or any of the bunch of movies where a group of losers has to overcome adversity to save something or someone in their own stupid way. I laughed really hard at some of it. Some of the subtle stuff is the greatest, and alot of people just don't get that type of stuff. The wife didn't really think it was that funny.
