An American classic. More a story about class struggles and coming of age than it is about disco dancing.....very deep story if you pay attention to it.

Horrible movie. Nice classic songs, but the dance sequences accompanying them are long and boring and amateur. Remember this movie is not a musical. You have to fast foward through many of the disco moments in the movie to get through to the rest of the movie. They play many of the songs in its entirety and you are watching people dance on a disco floor, the way almost anyone with flare would dance on the dance floor if they are being taped. The movie lacks any single, climactic plot to get the energy moving and the juices flowing. The movie plot spins in different directions and and fails to develop coherently as a movie with a point. John Travolta is dashing and handsome and I enjoyed the street scenes in New York and snapshots of family life, but the movie on a whole was terrible. A waste of a spot on your queque.

THIS MOVIE IS CRUDE! PLUS, THERE'S NO PLOT, THE ACTING IS BAD AS WELL AS THE DANCING. I RATE IT AS ONE OF THE 10 WORSE MOVIES I EVER SAW.
