Marjoe Gortner seems to have made this movie to atone for his feelings of guilt. He was raised by his tent revivalist parents to fleece the flock through showmanship and psychology. Marjoe reveals that those preaching the Gospel and invoking Jesus' name to take other people's money are the most materialistic, amoral, and self-centered people in our society. Well preached Marjoe. Amen.

I saw this movie when it came out and it made an everlasting impression on me . I never viewed religon and spirituality the same again . This movie really showed me the difference and why going to church is nice but being close to your higher power is much more important .

Marjoe Gortner was, at one time, one of the most popular evangelical circuit preachers in the country. Fed up with the rank fraud of that religion and industry, he decided to expose it for what it was while filming his last tour. It's a real eye opener. Sadly, this is still going on in churches around the country every night. Thank you, Marjoe, for a rare moment of honesty in a sea of corruption.
