It starts off slow, but give it time. The sheriff lets you know in his own way that the hobo is more than he seems. Gabe Harper who is played by Jason Gedrick surprises you with his clean good looks. He may not seem like a hunk in the beginning ladies, but give him time and the is handsome man will be revealed. This is difinitely a chick flick, and delivers a great story with the hero coming to rescue the fair maiden. She cleans up well, since at the begining she looked haggarded and dowdy. I started to turn it off in the beginning of the movie, but the action and acting improves after the grandfather kicks the bucket so do not turn it off.

I thoroughly enoyed this movie and kind of fairy tale atmosphere in the resulting end..it's what you come to expect from a Hallmark hall of fame film..easy to take..I give it 3 stars.

This movie was pretty sweet. It's also predictable but still worth watching. You won't recognize Shirley Jones, she looks so aged in this movie. I think it was made for t.v. because it breaks thru-out like it was cut for commercials. Happy ending and all lived happily ever after.
