I was very disappointed. I rented Deadly Skies and recieved Force to Impact. The last thing I wanted to see is Antonio wind up with Rae Dawn Chong in the end. This is not what I rented.

I was so eager to watch this movie when i saw the title and read a little about Antonio Sabato, Jr. playing a gay who was rejected from the army for being gay.......I searched many rental stores in search of it. I finally got it.....watching this movies made me so angry....there was nothing gay about Sabato. In fact he was never close to a male or the kind, instead he was close to a woman...and then...I dont want to talk about this movie. It is not even good for a dvd..well, Sabato, I wanted to see you play a gay role in some scenes in this movie...Im just disappointed.

Im really confused is the titlle for this movie "Dealdly Skyes" or "Force of Impact"? Forthermore the preview is misleading since it hints at the main male character as being gay and show him in bed with anohter man. This scene is nowhere in th movie or is the topic brought up in the plot. The preview was removed from the website too. Besides that the movie was badly done, the acting was horrible and dialogues were cheesy, poorly delivered. Gen Button and his scientist partner are just annoying and overacted. This movie was just bad, especially if you're expecting anything like the preview...

Can't disagree with Richard T. in that they should have drawn a better line between the good guys and the bad guys. Plus, it's four minutes short of being a movie it there defaults to being a documentary. Even then it's not saying much. As with others reviewed, it paid for someone's dinner or mortgage.

There are directors that can take a limited budget and second class actors and create an entertaining product, this film was NOT made by one of those directors. For example, a massive project to track Near Earth Objects (this story line pretty well ran it's course 10 years ago) and the whole project is controlled from a laptop that they carry around with them throughout the movie. Films like this one give the 1950s movie "Plan B From Outer Space" hopes for losing it's 'worst movie ever made' award. This film probably went straight to DVD though it is a massive waste of plastic disks.

As many have placed in the review, I cannot believe they edited this movie and turned Antonio Sabato Jr. into straight in this movie. The scene selection even shows that ASJR was with his lover, and they turned him into someone who ends up with Rae Dawn Chong. Even the sleeve summary says that he's gay in this movie. It makes me wonder if there's a hatred towards the gay community.

Not that this was a good movie to begin with but this is a re-edited version that changes the main character from a gay soldier-scientist kicked from military to straight soldier-scientist who quit the military as a matter of conscience. His gay active military partner is now just a military buddy who helps him out. Plus the have him getting together with the girl in the end. Obviously, this was filmed both ways and in the end what little that could redeem this Z grade movie is cut out for DVD consumption. Lame!

Evidently they decided to change the Sabato role from "ejected from the military for being gay" to peacenik and "voluntatirly leaving the military as it went against his pacifist beliefs". They also changed the name from Deadly Skies to Force of Impact. Guess they wanted to add a bit of macho inuendo. This "impact" is one limpid flick.

This movie was attempting to explore the morality of violence, except it was so obviously slanted toward pacificism. In this type of movie, the dialogue has to carry the plot but all we get is 5 minutes between the two main characters. There was no research done on the different aspects of the movie, so it is unrealistic to the point that the audience has to ignore the glaring errors in the storyline. The script was very weak, it appears that the writer has little experience with the genre. The acting was almost nonexistant. The director might as well have been absent through the filming and the effects were circa 1960. This was a poor B type made for tv movie. I recommend that anyone picking up this movie put it back. The fact that Antonio Sabato states that he left the project because he disagreed with the poilitics proves that even the people that wrote the synopsis for the cover didn't watch the film.
