It was a movie that leaves you feeling wonderful. It is a must-see for anyone who enjoys watching the power of God in action. I will be recommending this movie to all of my friends so they can experience what this church has done with the production of this movie. Read More For those who complain about the acting, I can only say one thing: they were real people who acted from their hearts. I felt that the movie portrayed REAL people, instead of fake Hollywood-style overacting. That said, I also thought the acting was SUPERB, especially considering this was made by complete amatuers with no training at all. Watch the commentaries. The death-crawl scene, if someone can say that wasn't some of the best acting ever, you're crazy. WOW. This was not a "B" movie, it was A+ all the way with better acting, camera work, and storyline than most Hollywood films out there right now. Read More âFacing the Giantsâ is a Christian based movie. That being said, it is understandable that some might object to the mention of Christ and God (religion some may say does not belong in our schools or in our moviesâ¦it should be kept in the privacy of our homes). These same people seem to have no objections over the portrayal of prostitution, drug use, nudity, foul language, and other that is shown in so many movies. No, this movie does not contain these things, but something that for some is much worseâ¦God. We are responsible for our own actions, regardless of the actions of others. When we have faith, true faith, and realize that it is God that makes things happen, at His time and for His purpose, not ours, we are then more able to do His WILL and in turn He will more readily watch out for our needs. This movie says, do not despair, face your fears, God is with you and will help you through your troubles. Believe in Him as he believes in you. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? I was prepared to watch a movie where the ... Read More This is a wonderful movie. I read a lot about this movie on the "Facing the Giants" website and subscribed to receive emails about it prior to release. I was prepared to watch a movie where the actors were not "Hollywood" actors. People from the Sherwood Baptist Church congregation answered the call and to make this movie and left the rest up to God. This movie has and will continue to change lives.
