First you will notice there are a few recognizable stars like Loretta Devine, Jennifer Lewis, and the girl from the Steve Harvey Show. At first I was struck with some similarities between this movie and Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. The storyline is almost the same - big time city boy returns to his country roots and hilarity ensues. This movie was a little slow moving for me, and there are some plot twists involved. The movie feels like Soul Food after awhile, as most of the family members have some "Dirty Laundry". Not a bad movie, but I can see why it went straight to video. A good way to pass a lazy Saturday afternoon if you have time!

I watched this movie and it has you thinking about your family. It makes you remmeber things that you thought you had forgot. I truly loved this movie and I would recomend that everyone and family to set and watch it because it brings out the truth in a lot of our families. Be who you are and be proud of yourself. We as mothers expect a lot out of our children and when the go the other direction we feel like we have went wrong somewhere but it is in the plan. We can only pray and ask God to take care of them and heal what ever needs to be healed.
