What a waste of time. I didn't care about any of these unlikeable, selfish movie people. That was probably the aim of the movie, but that does not make for an entertaining film. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreI liked this movie in that I love seeing De Niro out of his stereotyped roles. I thought he played Ben great and the supporting cast of Willis, Tuturo, Penn, Keener and the lot were also exceptional. I feel something happened in the editing room that took this way out to no man's land. Someone had a vision, and it was different than what was shot or what the story was. I like narration, but it needs to be consistent. One minute we are being told a story, the next we are watching it and then we are listening to it, then repeat that sequence. I think the scenes were nicely and sometimes beautifully shot, but the editing lost appreciation for the acting, dialog, directing, score and had it not been for strong performances by top notch actors, it could have lost the whole thing.
