It had action, humor and respected the original story of the comic book. There were brilliant nods and touches to things that had come before in the IRON MAN history that were nice to see. Casting was dead on. I only wish that original IRON MAN artist, Don Heck were still alive to see this.

The acting, direction and writing aren't bad enough to condemn, but the film lacks any distinguishing value to set it apart from other "superhero" franchises. There is plenty of "eye-candy" and enough good old-fashioned Hollywood jingoism to keep an audience interested for about 90 of the film's 125 minute viewing length. The finale is a cgi FX treat for fans of such visual wizardry. While this is NOT Must-See-TV, it is worth a free, or reduced rental viewing...and a decent family night film if you don't mind the pervasive thematic violence. excellent acting, special effects done in good taste, robotics were amazing, not dominated by a mandatory love story like every other movie these days so the girls will watch it too, well casted WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
