Robert Downey, Jr. did a great job, probably since he was pretty much playing himself (successful man who pretty much does what he wants with whatever, and now is trying to become a better person).
The effects in Iron Man are as good, if not better, than those in Transformers. The comedic portions of the movie were well placed, and Downey's timing & delivery of everything bumps him into my top ten actors list.
BTW, if someone hasn't told you to stay all the way through the credits. DO IT. They are laying the foundation for something big. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

I love Robert Downey Jr.'s Humor and wit. It was great to see Gwyneth Paltrow again and in a fun role. She looks lovely. Whoo! Terrance Howard and the rest of the cast were brilliant and I can't wait for the sequel. The action was intense! I also loved the cameo by Col. Nick Fury, played by Sam L. Jackson. "The Avengers Initiative!" YES!
I would love for Marvel to make a deal with the different movie companies, so we could see all our fave stars as the characters we love. I would love to see Robert Downey Jr. Tobey McGuire, Jessica Alba and Hugh Jackman in a scene together? I know those characters aren't "Avengers", but anything is possible now. Robert Downey Jr. is unbelievable and it was smart to ask someone who is partially unknown for any major rule but still has a deep talent to play Tony Stark character.
I read many reviews who were fascinated by the small talks one and while between Robert and Gwyenth Paltrow and indeed I like them.
I'm not a great follower of Jeff Bridges career, but I don't think he has ever made any type of character like this before. I liked the bear by the way.
