This one will stay on my shelf. It is a refreshingly different movie about when life throws you lemons, make lemonade. If you want a good family movie, then rent this one tonight. CB was humorous but more thought provoking. I was entertained throughout and was left feeling warm and satisfied. I just spent a really nice hour and a half. Read More This movie was really different then I expected --- and a lot better. In fact, there are really more deeper meanings in the movie then just some silly teen movies. I was, unfortunately super-tired when I watched, and I don't think I got all I could out of it. So I'm going to rent it again a little further down the road. Some kooky parts and silly (meaning not funny but stupid) scenes, but overall very fun to watch. This film made me laugh out loud once, which is a very big deal. Better yet, it was one of those outloud laughs that lasts for quite a few seconds. I guess you could call that kind of laugh a "gut buster." When you get to the part where Charlie is telling the psychiatrist that every time he hears a word beginning with "P", it makes him hit his head five times and say five words beginning with that letter, that is the part that made me laugh really hard! Would have been four stars but too many kooky/silly parts, especially the last half of the movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More I was told by numerous different people that this movie was "cute"; well, its cute if you can get past the fact that its completely insane. Nothing in the movie could happen in real life, which would be fine, if it wasn't trying to be honest. Basically, this is a bad commercially viable 'dark' (barely) comedy.
