It was a simple formula that used extremes to make its payoff even more of a rush. Hostel 2, however, features more gore, lesser characters, and is frankly a disgrace. The MPAA should be ASHAMED of themselves. This movie deserves an NC-17 rating and that's that. Make no mistake, this isn't why I don't like the movie. Seven should have received an NC-17 too, but that's a good film. Hostel 2 is a surprisingly juvenile and terribly made film; it is also socially irresponsible and excessive. Roth's singular goal here is to shock, which is a shame coming from such talent. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Suspense and anticipation are lacking. As with any sequel these two qualities need to be ratcheted up a level to retain the viewers interest, as the first one sets the tone for all those that follow. Compared to the first Hostel this one just leaves a tremendous amount to be desired. But hey, you know you just cant wait to see it for yourself, so rent it and see for yourself. I am not sure where we are heading to... I undersatnd we all have different types of phobias and this one is for strangers and strange places in foreign countries. I have been to most of europe and I totaly diagree if anything like this could happen there. This is bad in a way as this sends wrong information about places.. basicaly this is all imagined in here only. As far as I feel Americans are loved and respected in almost all over the world. Well lets see what movies our kids gonna watch in future... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
