No real story line, plot, ... Read MoreI was pretty excited about seeing this movie along with my 14 year old son, being a fan of both the Alien and Predator movies. Sadly, I was let down from start to finish. No real story line, plot, direction, and the ending blew. All the history of Alien and Predator movies went right out the window and went in a totally different direction that did not make any sense. The title, Aliens vs. Predator is just that in every sense of the word. Only one Predator battling 15 plus Aliens??? What was with the half Alien/Predator thing? Where did that come from? The Directors should stick with Special Effects and leave directing alone. I have to say, I really felt like I was watching a Freddy or Jason flick from the 80's. Very cheesy. I ... Read MoreSadly, I saw this in the theater. I've benn seeing mostly good movies in the theater latly, but this ruined it. This is one of the worst movies i've seen in a long time. I like all 4 alien movies. I like Predator 1 and 2. I even like the first AVP. But this is awaful. No plot whatsoever. Pointless. Just some aliens and predators fighting for no reason. And the love story in the middle and some of the extra characters, what was the point. I wanted to see the Aliens and Predators fight not all the extra crap with the government and the town. I can only assertain that many people went to the theaters and, unfortunately, brought all their preconcieved notions of what an Alien or Predator movie has been and, therefore, fit the viewing within that narrow construct setting themeselves up for dissappointment. The brother's Stauss did what they set out to do; create a visceral film that draws from some of the past influences in both franchises (this does'nt mean an exact replica of some past experience).
