They just took a dump on film for an hour, and I was dumb enough to watch it happen. This is the first time I've reviewed a movie, but I felt it my duty to warn you away from this unredeemable train wreck. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The special effects were okay in some parts, but the whole movie was SO darn dark all the time that you couldn't even see what was happening.
If you watch this movie it will be VERY hard to watch it twice. Only worth it if you're very very bored, and don't mind wasting time. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Standard mediocre fare trying to drain every possible dollar from the original great first several movies of Alien and Predator. This latest one is the WORST. No interesting characters or real character development. And the Director decided to use the worn out and really irritating Hollywood trick of every scene being so dark you can't ever see anything. And I mean you really can't make anything out in EVERY scene - the entire movie!!! Even during the daytime shots all the characters are in shadow and you will find yourself adjusting your set's brightness to try and see something. Supposed to scare us, Director?! Well it doesn't....it just pisses us off. What scares us is not cheap tricks or your 'artsy' effects but well written, staged and acted scary stories and well shot scenes. But I guess that is lacking in Hollywood these days. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More The movie was way to dark, which worked for the first film in the series but what made the series better was that in each episode it got a little brighter and easier to see the aliens. Even the first AVP generally kept to that trend. The story was good, the nuclear end while sad was sensible (given the governments knowledge from the first two Predator movies, anything that would make them operate in a populated area that openly has got to be very serious.) although our real government I think would be too indecisive to make the hard but correct decision with the rapid spread of the threat. BUT their was one glaring MISTAKE! made by all involved in the writing and making of the end of AVP1 and all of AVP2. At the end of AVP1 when the surviving human delivered the predators body to his ship the other predators had their helmets on, being highly Experienced Hunters the first thing they would have done (as S O P) would be to scan the body to make sure their WAS NO LARVA INSIDE!!! Most of the scenes were shot in dark light and toofast so it was hard to enjoy the alien fight scenes. The plot was super weak not exploring any characters which causes the audience not to root for anyone. We were just spectators watching and waiting for the conclusion to occur. It is sad to see how downhill the scripts have become from the first spectacular movie back in the 70's to this latest cut and paste piece of you know what. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
