Read MoreThis movie was better than I expected. I first saw the 3D version in the theaters and I liked the special effects. The theaters included 3D glasses (not the old red and green lens ones from the past) and you got to keep them. I expected to be able to use my 3D glasses to view the 3D version - included on the DVVD disc- on my big screen TV. But, they did not work. To see the movie in 3D at home (and it is great on a big screen in 3D), you must use the old-style 3D glasses with one red lens and one green lens. In 3d, the movie is 4 1/2 stars. The one I recall most vividly was the scene where Frasier was running away with the boy behind him. The running is all fake and reminds me of something you would expect to see in an old Tom and Jerry cartoon.
Brendan Frasier is a good actor, but he brings a certain level of "cheese" to his movies and it seems like he tries to over-do it sometimes and makes his acting appear fake and unbelievable. Which is apparent, though not throughout, in this movie. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

There were so many flaws with the theory of this movie as it was, but the story just wasn't that great. I don't really know if I was expecting a lot, mut I know I was expecting something more. Also, I thought the CGI and graphics would have been much better. There were a lot of sections that were not that realistic looking. I don't recommend this movie. This is the best 3D fantasy movie that I saw since Polar Express. This movie is for the whole family; although very young members of the family may be scared by a few of the images. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Yeah- I didn't rate the movie cuz I didn't get to watch it b/c they didn't send us 3 d glasses! I was sooo disappointed. I'm gonna have to find a way to make or buy them! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
