This most excellent film (story and acting by all) is marred by the omission of subtitles during singing parts.

So did she! May be her life was more messed up than many of ours. I get it. I have seen others like it. Of course, I started getting annoyed at the character which is a testimonial to a good performance by Marion Cotillard. Other than that, this one is a go in my list! La vie en rose is a biopic about French singer Edith Piaf. The film goes between flashbacks and current scenes not too seamlessly. I didn't know much about Piaf's troubled life before watching this movie and found the story very insightful. I thought the French was easy to follow, but there are subtitles (except for the songs).
