Read More Rogue ended up being a pretty good creature feature. Many people will compare this movie to Primeval, but it should be more accurately compared to Lake Placid. Rogue has far superior talent and much better production values. The set up to the story is standard with a boat crash and people being stranded on a small mud island. the thing that really impressed me with this movie was the special effects. The Croc looks real. He moves and attacks like a croc with his death roll. I also really like the fact that the croc is not all powerful. He's a big freak of nature, he's going to have trouble moving in small places. Which he does in this movie. It's pretty impressive attention to detail. I liked it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

He actually allowed the actors to act. I could feel their terror and anticipation of knowing what comes next. The croc, while huge was not the star and that was good, it merely added to the man against nature imagination. ..the croc didn't make an appearance until he was actually needed which made it all the more suspenseful.... 1 out of 4 people found this review helpful So, there have been plenty of monster movies made over the years, and plenty of them involving water dwelling monsters, some are even crocs and gators.... this was one of those movies. This was a little bit more low budget though, with actors that are either A. sorta low key, or B. unknown. It wasn't tossed together, but it sure wasn't an original, though the graphics are really nice on a blu-ray. It had your usual stupid decisions, waiting for something to happen, people getting violently eaten... and no nudity, which may have made it a tad better.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
