The rest is too-much incredible special effects, slow pigning over Cusack's pitiful state, and the worst use of the useless romantic side-story i've ever seen in a horror flick.
If you're thinking of watching this... let me know... i'll suggest to you a plethora of far better horror movies to genuinely scare and entertain you. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I wasn' t so much scared by the movie, but as a parent it made me a little sad. I can't say too much or I will give away what happens. To me this was more of a physcological thriller, than a scary movie. Sometimes what happens in the past is much sadder and scarier, then all of the creepy things that special effects can dream up. A movie worth seeing. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Pure Stephen King. Even though the basic plot line is simplistic, this movie was a heart attack a minute with all the twists and turns a suspense viewer could desire. Overall terrorwise, it is almost equal to "Secret Window". John Cusack delivers a performance above what a person would expect. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This was a good movie, but not true to the original story, and a bit disappointing. The main character is trying to debunk the supernatural, and in some way, hope for the future. Plot twists between the real and unreal, leaving it up to you to try to guess what is going on. Good moments including a great scene where the main character goes out on a ledge to try and get into the window of the next room to escape the nightmare room. Entertaining, but not "at the edge of your seat" kind of suspense. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This is the WORST movie I've seen in at least a couple of years. The degree to which it disappoints falls beyond the realm of comprehension by mere description. To truly understand the suffering it must be experienced, but I don't recommend it! The beginning was okay, but it spiraled downward out of control. PREDICTABLE. CHEAP......BOO! Oh, so scary.
