Read More Chillingly fresh kind of serial killer movie enacted by great cast. Kevin Costner plays Brooks, a successful businessman and community icon who struggles with a secret addiction --killing. Added are layers of very humans-in-struggle side characters. Interesting twists include Brooks blackmailer who witnesses a murder who wants as a payoff the opportunity to "go along" on another murder, and daughter who seems to have inherited some not so desirable traits from Dad. It was well written and well acted. Hurt and Moore also did an excellent job portraying their rolls. I would definitely recommend this movie for adults who like a good suspense and mystery. It was a good role for him and added to the comic relief of the tension in the film while not being too goofy.

It was not fantastic but it wasn't bad either. Kevin Costner is fantastic and his acting is up to the usual standards but I just didn't like this movie. It was nothing special. Demi Moore wasn't that great either. When the daughter starts killing I almost turned it off but struggled through to the end. I guess the family that slays together.. Mostly it was just boring and the plot line and dialogue were nothing spectacular. It was an ok movie and was worth the time spent watching it. I wouldn't make a special trip to the video story for it, but it is worth it if nothing else is available. I give it 2 1/2 stars for the effort! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More If you can get around the fact that family-man and mediocre actor Kevin Costner leads a double life as a serial killer then you will really enojoy this movie.
