Read More may call me crazy kingdom was the most entertaining movie of 2007. i dont know the last time one movie delivered great entertainment , and touched on an important topic (terrorism). the last 30 minutes were the most intense i have ever seen in a movie. in the past producers were hesitant (for good reason) when it came to making movies about terrorism, especially regarding the controversies in saudi arabia, and while terrorism is certaintly no laughing or entertaining matter, this movie was so much more then just a statement on the war on terror. the FBI team assembeld by foxx's character did a CSI type investigation on the attacks on american citizens in saudi arabia, and despite limited cooperation from locals, with their lifes at risks, they were determined to hunt down the killer and defend the american victims -cooper, garner, foxx, bateman and barhoum were the perfect mixture. and garner flashed off her action/fighting talents from her alias days Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? As I write this review, Bhutto was murdered in Pakistan. The movie takes place in Saudi Arabia, but conditions are the same in that region of the world. Sad but true. Enjoy. Read More This film does a good job of shedding light on the Saudi-US relationship as well as the political web that is the Middle East. Berg did an excellent job on not just showing the radical Islam extremists, but also gave a glimpse into the everyday lives of those who are just trying to live in peace. Solid cast that does a good job. Cinematography is good, similar to that Berg uses on the TV drama "Friday Night Lights". By the way, it was good to see the head coach of the Dillon Panthers with a cameo early in the film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More What an excellent film! It's a gritty, realistic portrayal of the extraordinarily complex circumstances in the Middle East and provides a thought-provoking examination of the number of entanglements that have led to so many problems there. And underneath the "us versus them" mentality is a subtle exploration of very basic, humanistic elements that bind us together regardless of skin color, religious belief, or nationality. Given the current state of affairs, I imagine it's hard for some viewers to have to come to terms with identifying with "the enemy," but this film does a fantastic job showing us that things are not as black and white as many would like them to be. It's a delicious crime drama with some amazing edge-of-your-seat action scenes leading up to a pulse-pounding ending. I'd highly recommend this movie; even the special feature on the freeway scene makes it worth the rent! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Seriously this is an outstanding movie, well done, but Hollywood in its usual ignorant fashion has to throw a stupid political statement in at the very end. Ah yes...kill them all! Are you kidding me, do people really think that that thought process holds any water when it comes to our decisions in the middle east? It apparently is, disappointing, but still a great movie. Read More I was hoping that this was going to be good but I should have known better. This is typical American tripe where every foreign force is incompetent and uncaring and of course the FBI have superhuman powers that can overcome any force. i dinf it a bit hard to believe that a 4 person FBI investigative team is going to take down a highly organised terrorist organisation. This movie belongs in the fantasy section not action. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
