Read More A retiring sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones) is thrust into a crime scene of a drug deal gone bad and trying to catch up to lone hunter (Josh Brolin) who steals millions from the aftermath scene and is being pursued by a macabre killer (Javier Bardem). Initially, the film seems to center on the chase, but in actuality it's also the story of older generation law enforcement dealing with crimes of intensity never encountered before and unable to understand. Great premis for a movie -- but drifts as most indies do into oblivion leaving the viewer to resolve the ending. Suspenseful even if a little slow, but FLAT because of non-resolution!!! From the talking, deciphering the crime and the walking of characters. I kept watching in hopes it would speed up, but it did not. Perhaps this was exactly the way t her writer intended it to be. Great actors in this movie. The end was like watching butter melt. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

No Country has compelling actors, but there not a lot of humor in this movie. A few very subtle facial reactions that were humorous, but nothing like the other three mentioned. Some will find NO humor in this movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

And like the sheriff at the end it made me feel like there was no hope for morales, or for good people to survive all the evil that is perpatrated in this world at this space and time. especially at the end where he walks off with his bone sticking out of his arm. There was no sense to this movie and a waste of time; can't believe it got three and a 1/2 stars. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More What is happening to the taste of the American movie-going public? How can such a tortured, dragging, full-of-hot-air and ultimately pointless movie get such rave reviews and win so many awards? What is so great about the Coen Brothers? Contrary to what some people here say, there IS an ending, I sort of GET the ending...it's just that the ending stinks! It may be the biggest let-down in the history of Oscar-winning pictures.
