I have always enjoyed train movies. Think of the original Orient Express and traveling from Istanbul to Paris. What an adventure. I never knew of a Trans-Siberian Express train from Beijing to Moscow. You have to travel though 7 different time zones. This is not a trip for the faint of heart. The Blu-ray version is outstanding. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. This is a great thriller. We have all seen these types of characters before but to put them on a train in this environment for 5 or 6 days is really special. I will not give away the various plots but it is safe to say that no one is whom they seem to be. This movie is completely different and one of the better movies of 2008.

At first you think one thing it is slow and reminded me of how crooked cops can be here and other countires. A little graphic but suspense is the best part.

Let's see. First of all, no discernable plot for the first 40 minutes; also, the Russian peasants looked more interesting than the main characters. And let's not forget cinematographer Xavi Giménez's non-stop use of Shaky-Cam, which alone ruined the movie for me. If you like movies whose setting is a train trip, watch 'Silver Streak.' Much more entertaining, and you won't get a headache.

I really liked the story. I did think it was a little boring. It should have been exciting and have you sitting on the edge of your seat, but I never really got that feeling.

Very nice movie. Interesting nail biting thriller (mostly later half) I liked the few siberian exterior wild snow country shots.

a surprisngly good film, i rented this movie because i couldnt find anything that i havent seen already to rent. i watched and came away glad i did rent it. I thought woody harrelson was washed up since white men cant jump and money train films in the 90's but he was suberb in this one. the story line is solid and realistic. the movie also has a good flow to it. it keeps you engaged from start to finish. A good under the radar film
