Read MoreI don't usually like the simpsons, I use to watch the show years ago when it first came out but then I grew out of it, I thought I would just check it out and was pleasently surprised, it was soooo funny I even had to watch it twice and I never watch a movie twice!, I probably even enjoyed it more the second time because there was some jokes I did not get until the second time watching it, I beleive this is a must see movie, even if you don't like the show, I think you will like this, it's cute, funny and one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Read MoreI used to watch the Simpsons when I was a kid for the first few years the show was on. So I'm not a die hard fan of it. But when I heard about this movie coming out I just had to go see it and my fiance and I laughed throughout almost the whole movie. Read MoreI love the simpsons! however I was a little disappointed with the movie...where the tv shows are comedic and plot-consistant gems, I felt this movie was a bit rushed, with a few cheap laughs. The Simpson's themselves seemed to be exaggerated to the point of a satire of their TV-selves. Bart seemed to be out of character, scarred through the majority of the movie, not seen in the TV show...though understandably given Homer's behavior...this is meant to be a surface level comedy, right? I did enjoy the scene where the remnants of the crashed ambulance at Springfield gorge was still there. MEh...*shrugs shoulders* Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreThe best way to review this movie is to say that it is basically a long Simpsons episode, which means you can expect some decent quality writing peppered with a few tired jokes. For my money, the Simpsons has been the most consistently funny programming on the air. I'd watch a 20th season episode from the Simpsons over an "According to Jim" or "Two and a Half Men" episode any day. That said, the movie is funny but ventures too heavily into the Family Guy non-sequitur formula, which doesn't work as well in this format. Other than that, I laughed at several scenes and enjoyed myself throughout. Definitely worth a look. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
