It rarely made me laugh out loud. The famous Bart "nude scene" was reminiscent of the Austin Powers nude scene. There's one joke which still makes me laugh though: when "President" Arnold Schwarzenegger said "I was elected to lead, not to read." LOL. Otherwise, nothing incredibly funny here. If you want something more mature which is very funny, see Ray Liotta in "Comeback Season." Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Basically it is like watching 3 TV episodes back to back. There was nothing that makes the "movie" version special, unlike the South Park movie where Trey Parker and Matt Stone took advantage of the R rating to do things they can't do on TV. Does that mean the Simpson's movie is bad? Of course not. If you like the TV show, like we do, the movie was great. We laughed at almost every scene and had a good time. Even if you are just a casual Simpson's fan, it is worth a rental. Definitely not ground breaking, but solid, fun entertainment. I'm looking forward to watching the bonus features on the DVD.

They had a lot of great jokes that my husband and I got but our kids did not understand. BUT we were VERY disturbed to see Bart's thingy in the nude scene. It was really not necessary they did a great job to the scene until this shot. BE WARNED ALL, this will make your jaw drop. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More From 1995 through 2000, only Seinfeld could complete with The Simpsons for the title of funniest TV show. Like any show with a long run, the series gradually became more and more stale, with less edginess and interesting ideas. I was worried that the movie, with its release so far past the show's prime, would simply be a nice diversion and nothing more. However, I was pleasantly surprised. While not on par with some of the best episodes ever, the movie was certainly funnier than the show has been in years. I don't know that I need to run out and buy a copy immediately, but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up getting a copy at some point. More than good enough, especially for anyone who's ever been a serious Simpsons fan. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Sage commentary on the state of people's opinions of the environment. Oh, remember, Access Hollywood is on at 4 and at 7. DOH! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
