Read More It takes some intelligence to really appreciate this humor. There's a lot of irony (especially when you know he's Jewish in real life - watch and see) and a lot of funny jokes about American society. I nearly cried from laughter the first time I saw this. I now own it. There's a few unnecessary scenes involving male nudity which seem quite out of place. Aside from that, it's an awesome movie. Watch it with an open mind! Read More This movie's a little hard to swallow on the first play through. Both me and my brother shut it off after watching it for 15 minutes because of how stupid and hard to watch it was. That said, though, some parts ARE genuinely funny and also it actually does show America's true colors in certain areas in this current day and age (i.e. looking at foreigners who don't understand things weird, thinking of "arab-looking people" as terrorists, etc.).
Don't watch if you don't have an open mind, but if you have one, then I recommend you enjoy.

Read More The ads looked interesting, but this movie disappointed me. It attempts to be humorous by displaying as cultural differences a series of obscenities that had me griting my teeth. Some might get a kick out of this blatant attempt to shock the viewer. I couldn't watch the whole thing. On the positive side....The sound quality seemed to be okay. I expected a little more depth from a mockumentary from a guy who graduated from Oxford. Perhaps Sacha Cohen should check out the works of Christopher Guest for how satirical humour should work. I did laugh at a few things, but IMO anyone who has any kind of cultural wherewithall whatsoever should at least know a little bit about being polite. The things he did to the unsuspecting - in an effort to show Southerners as racists and rednecks - only showed Cohen himself off as the real jerk.
