Read MoreI saw the original version of this movie. It was called "Revenge of the Nerds" and it was funny. Without Taj there would be no connection to "Van Wilder" and this Taj was not the same lovable Taj in "Van WIlder". Almost everything was predictable. Read MoreSure, Taj came from the original Van Wilder movie, but let's face it. This did not live up to or really even compare to Van Wilder. I simply felt it lacked that quality and as others mentioned it wasn't quite the Lampoon's style. More or less Revenge of the Nerds meets Animal house, but not nearly as good as either. It's good enough to watch and will give you a few laughs but approaching it with no expectations may just help you enjoy it. If you go in expecting Van, go in expecting to be disappointed. This movie had its moments but does not deliever on the Van Wilder name. Think Revenge of the Nerds meets American Pie but not as entertaining. Taj is not as entertaining a leading man as Van Wilder. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
