I thought it would be a cutsie movie about 2 kids who go on a make-believe adventure that turns real. While the movie sets you up for that, some very different things happen. Read More Another movie that I was looking forward to see that was ultimately a disappointment. There were two things potentially worthwhile about it, the 'fantastical' quality of Teribithia, and the friendship of the boy. When they yanked the tablecloth out from under those things, all the china smashed to the floor. It just left me feeling bummed out overall. Also, lots of plot doors opened that led to nowhere. In my opinion, Harry potter is pure trash compared to this movie.
THIS movie has portrays a family we can ALL relate to on some level. This also shows what REALLY goes on in today's classrooms, unlike the Potter movies.
There are great lessons also, and the acting was super. NO, this may not really have a TON of computer generated scenes, but you and your family will come away from this one either learning something or relating to the movie on some level. For adults, this movie is great because it has a deep underlining plot; for children, they can understand the movie 100 percent even though they may look past the deep parts of the plot.

Read More In the start of this movie I thought it was gonna be like The Chronicles of Narnia, but i was WAY off. Its nothing near like what you see in commercials or previews. I don't think this movie is for real little kids, maybe more like 12+. As i was watching the movie, i really got attached to the Characters, the actors played there role great. This was a really happy movie, until all of a sudden it just does a 180 degree. I cried during this movie, not a little but alot, I'm a guy (18 years old about to be 19), i was just so sad, and frankly as i write this I'm still a little depressed. I suggest if your gonna watch it, make sure you prepare yourself, becuase after watching it your gonna be down. But i loved this movie, i think one of the greatest movie/ storyline ever. Read More After 50 minutes of this 96 minute movie I was wondering where the story was supposed to be going. The pieces camel together and then the movie continued on longer than necessary. Perhaps my disappointment stemmed from the expectations of a narnia-esque movie which this is decidedly not. Surprised to watch a Disney movie with this type story.
