Reminded me of the movies Never-ending Story and Labyrinth and perhaps most of all The Boy Who Could Fly of the 80s. That being said, this was a nice little movie. Targeted for tweens as it's (really) all about battling the demons and monsters of adolescence and getting over the hurdles we all had to endure but should be able to be enjoyed by adults as well. In addition it stresses the importance of imagination and open-mindedness, not only for creativity but as a tool for solving real problems and issues in our lives. Lots of good to draw from this movie and nice for families to watch to together & discuss afterwards (does anybody really do that anymore?)

Bridge to Terabithia is a wonderful family movie that deals with isloation, school yard bullies, the difficulty of fitting in, loneliness, friendship, fantasy and imagination, tragedy and sadness and pushing past grief to do something positive. I thought it was a great story, wonderfully-told and deserving of much more attention that it has received. Although it is aimed at the whole family, there is sadness toward the end that may make you cry and three curse words from the father (d*mn*t, h*ll, d*mn). The two children playing the lead roles were excellent. Special effects were minimal but well done.

First I recommend reading the book. Do not go by what people here are expecting it is not a Lord of the rings or The Compass movie. Second this movie has to deal with bullies, death, and family ordeals. I thought it was wonderfully scripted. I would not recommend for children under 10 as they may get bored expecting mystical or fantasy sci fi graphics. You may still need to explain to pre teens but if ay all possible get the book first! Perhaps some people should go back to reading instead of just watching movies.

Enjoyable, superbly acted drama that will appeal to kids and adults alike. Im a teenager and rather I hated it. I thought it was trying to be something that it's not and just is full of molarchy. The movie is to childish for what the movie is really about and thats the biggest problem. I cried, but still didn't like the feature.

Fantastic opening sequence, I couldn't wait for the story to begin. Although I had not read the book, a friend had told me all about it. The acting is great, and the costumes are terrific!

this is a very good movie. kind of sad how the girl dies at the end The ending is sad, I almost cried but then when he makes his lil sis princess that made it a great ending. I liked it how his arm changed into a armored arm. at the beginning he says grenades, she says there are no grenades here, then later she says I told you there were grenades. I don't get it is she being a smart ass.
