I was a little hesitant about this film, but I was pleasantly surprised. Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert DeNiro put in wonderful performances that give the humor to this story. The film has a fantasy element much like "The Princess Bride" --- though it is not as wacky. It is worth the time to watch!

I guess when you take a large book and whittle it down to a two-hour movies something has to give. I get the impression a 'lot' gets whittled in this inconsistent tale. Stardust has some entertaining moments but overall the story is confusing and jumps around like the studio ordered a two hour max movie at all cost! Kind of makes me glad the makers of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were far sighted enough not to pull this. The actors seem to be confused as well. I felt most of them had a difficult time hitting their notes. The only one who really gets into his part is DeNiro, and I think when Robert DeNiro looks back on his career I somehow think he will just laugh off this bit of acting? Stardust is decent but not great fantasy entertainment for a snowed-in Saturday night. Try not to take it to seriously.

I enjoyed this movie much more than I thought I would. The storyline held my interest. I thought it might be a bit "cheesy" for me, but I was pleasantly surprised. The acting was very good, as well. It was great mindless entertainment.

I liked the concept of just an old falling down wall being the only barrier between you and another fantastic world and I liked the whole fallen star as a physical person idea but past that this movie moves in a too predictable pattern for me to really get into it. Classic fairly tale gets old after a while.
