Cage plays the part of someone who can see 2 minutes into the future, but it ... Read More This was a disappointing watch. Some of the acting was acceptable, not all. But the real disappointment was the story. Cage plays the part of someone who can see 2 minutes into the future, but it wasn't believable. He took actions based on things he apparently saw two minutes ago. How does one manage operating in the present while also tracking what will happen two minutes down the road? A hokey scene has him trying out different "pick-up lines" in different possible futures to see which will be effective to win the trust of a woman he apparently has some special connection with. Later in the film Cage splits into multiple people, apparently representing different possible futures. But this is never explained, again making it impossible to suspend disbelief. Other complaints are that both the CIA and "bad guys" figure everything out way to fast. Julianne Moore is unconvincing in this role. Jessica Biel is the highlight of the film for both her beauty and acting. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

I can't understand why he did this film. The premise was different & some of the scenes and effects were cool but the way it unfolded was hard to swallow. I totally hate the "Patrick-Duffy-in-the-shower-it-was-all-a-dream" tool in movies. That's weak! Julianne Moore abandoned any acting skills and simply did an imitation of a man or maybe a male agent she's observed. Ugh. This just was not a satisfying experience.
