Read MoreHaving heard the reviews, I chose not to see this movie in the theaters. After it became such a success with the public, I thought I would get it, on video, to watch with my kids. This was a mistake. If you are looking for wholesome, don't bother. There is talk of opera mixed with sex, and innuendo, that any 9 year-old will recognize, and profanity. I was embarrassed by the love scene, while watching with my 12-year-old daughter! On top of all of this, the movie was boringly predictable, and unsurprising in every way. This is sad at the beginning but then it gets better and a bit funny however I wouldn't call it a comedy.

This is a poor excuse of a makeover of the German film "Mostly Martha". If you can put up with the subtitles the original is far superior in every aspect. I have no reservations giving this 2 stars after seeing both. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
