Read More This movie shows how numb, brainwashed, and indifferent the American people are. We have let our government hi-jack the fundamental values that created America in the first place. The "Federal Reserve" is a PRIVATE BANK. We pay our taxes...but they don't go towards any services, they don't pay for the war (corporate taxes pay for 100% of the war...look it up.)...our taxes go 100% to the private bankers that own the Federal Reserve. In other words, a bunch of rich guys charge us interest for using the dollar bills they print in their private bank. This movie exposes the corruption that has existed in this country since 1913. THIS IS A WAKE-UP CALL! As the author of "The Government" and a candidate for the CA State Assembly, I can safely say that this film is based on actual fact rather than conjecture. If you call yourself an American and don't consider yourself a sheep, lemming or ostrich, this movie will be so popular with you that you'll be referring friends and family in no time. Just saw it tonight and was shocked. If you want to see how bad our country's gotten and how little freedom we have left go see this. Guess what, THERE IS NO LAW THAT REQUIRES AMERICANS TO PAY INCOME TAX! That is the main point of the movie, but there is much more equally shocking stuff. If you have half or even 1/4 a brain you will find this to be one of the most important movies you'll ever see.

Read More If we were really Americans, we would be talking about this movie around the water cooler instead of sports and American Idol. The people in Hungary recently took to the streets because they discovered that their Prime Minister had lied to them! You won't hear about THIS on the national news media of course - they would dare want to give us 'dumb' Americans any ideas. If Americans ONLY knew how the rest of the world (mainly in Europe) scoofs at our illiteracy and ignorance. AND WE DESERVE IT! Watch this movie and you should be disgusted about our government who treats us all as numbered slaves so they can 'milk' productivity from us to pay back interest to the IMF on money they loaned us to keep us out of bankruptcy (aka the national debt). Also, read about House Joint Resolution 192 on the internet if you don't believe ths USA declared bankruptcy in 1933. Read More Those who deny this film and can prove its inaccuracies, I beg you to take the same test that the IRS agents took that would pay them 1 million dollars if they could find the law on the federal income tax. Aaron Russo, who is currently suffering from cancer, has created his life work in this film and it is our duty, as Patriotic Americans, to review this film and fact check it as I have. Read More Whether all of the facts presented in this film are factual or not, this film is a must see. It will at least get you thinking about what you know, what you don't know and what you suspect. This film makes some extreme statements about the IRS and federal reserve, but most of it will hold true under close examination. I do, howeven, suggest that you continue to pay your federal income tax.
After I saw this film, I was talking about it for weeks, even thought I already knew that the system is rotten to its foundations. Watch and expand your consciousness, but don't believe everything you hear! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More It had plenty of info to back up there claims, but I dislike how towards the end it changes from no tax law, to the "corrupt" monetary system, no privacy, and other conclusions without that much to back it up like in the beginning. Good movie, a must watch, but seriously folks don't take this completely to heart, after all if you do, you are just as brainwashed as everyone who believes everything the government passes off as true. However he is redundant and needlessly self promoting. Whatever happened to making a documentary speak for itself, versus hammering the viewer with his own interludes and commentary? Read More This movie basically continues the Erwin Schiff inaccuracies that there is no law requiring anyone to pay income tax. The word liable isn't the only word or phrase in the IRC denoting liability and no law claims that it must exist for one to be liable. However, the big problem for the average wage earner is comparing 26 USC &61 (a) 1, "compensation for services" to &861 (a) 3, "compensation for personal services" or "compensation for labor". None of these terms are defined however, they are differentiated. Anyway, don't take the whole movie at face value, the main point may be correct that something is wrong with the income tax on the average worker but, there are laws requiring certain monies received to be taxed.
