It is probably a better movie since it is based on a true story and the wisdom of the movie provides some good life lessons. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More What I enjoyed most about this movie was not the philosophy so much, but the beauty of the gymnastics. I particularly liked the way they filmed the experience of tuning in to the surroundings and living in the moment and getting rid of negative voices. After the young man gets rid of some of his preconditioned thinking he is able to tap into his resources. I enjoyed watching an almost flawless performance on the rings... whether it was thanks to editing or not. I thought the film was excellent. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The movie has some good messages, but they are lost in a long, slow, and tedious film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It looks like another low budget film with haphazard editing. Many of the scenes repeat themself. Amy Smart is stunning to look at as always, but I still am not sure what her character was about except she ends up as the guys wife. She was in a much better (and was able to prove she is a decent actress besides being beuatiful) in ... Just Friends.
I did watch through the end except I did fast forward through parts. It ends exactly the way you exepct. No orginality. Good story, but there other good stories and bad that are told in a much better fashion. Painful to watch. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I know that Dan Millman, the author, does not characterize his works as New Age, but that's exactly how the movie came across to us. The premise that power, truth, knowledge comes from within was in direct conflict with our Christian beliefs. I have no idea how this movie could be grouped with "Facing the Giants."
