It was still good though, action packed and entertaining. There were some really cheesy aspects to some of the characters though that they could have done away with, but I guess when it boils down to it, they are children's books so that's all part of it I suppose. I'm interested to see where they go from here, because Peter & Susan play such a huge role in the first two and are absent until the final book. Should be interesting, especially if they attempt to do every book. Grade: B Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Very nicely done! Takes a few liberties with Lewis's book, but still a great film and a fitting sequel. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This installment of the Chronicles of Narnia is even better than the last movie. Great family entertainment. This sequel is a little "darker" than the first, but it will not scare the kids. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

The screen-writers get it. When you go to see a movie version of a beloved book, you want to see the version you know and love on screen. Unfortunately, they forgot that lesson in Prince Caspian and just made up their own story line. My theory, they read the back cover, took the names and wrote their own script.
They change all of the character's lines, personalities, and add their own dramatic problems and dynamics that are unnecessary and predictable. Not to mention added scenes that were not in the book. I don't care how many times you read it, there is NO scene where the Narnians storm the Telamarine castle.
Overall, it was filmed well, and the cinematography is of the outstanding caliber that you come to expect from Narnia. My suggestion if you see this, ignore the book, the screen writer's obviously did. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I have never read the books so cannot compare this movie to them. However, based on what I saw at the theatre, this second installment was awful. I very much enjoyed the first movie and was expecting to like this second one also. It seems to me that they filmed the final battle scenes and then realized that they had to fill in the remaining 1.5 hours, and didn't do a very good job, to say the least. I would suggest taking your children if they insist. Otherwise, wait for it on DVD. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

It also had way to many references to Jesus/Christianity. It felt a little preachy and it didn't sit with me well. Overall, the movie was okay. Nothing special.
